Yamaha unveils free 2.0 update for VST Rack Pro and Elements, with additional plug-ins and new USB drive-free license.
VST Rack offers the ability to build a complete plug-in environment, adding your VST format plug-ins to any mixing session, and creating tailor-made effect chains.
New plugins
Delivered alongside the compact RUio16-D audio interface, VST Rack Pro 2.0 adds 8 new pluginsfor a total of 41. Included are:
- the Yamaha MBC4 multiband compressor
- the FBS 7 anti-feedback filter with auto-detection
- Steingerg’s Magneto, which simulates the saturation and compression of analog tape recorders
- the VoiceDesigner pitch shifter
- the StereoEnhancer stereo processor
The VST Rack Elements version, included with the DM3 and DM7 series digital mixing consoles, adds 3 enhanced versions of the Yamaha REV-X reverb.
The new Steinberg Licensing system
VST Rack 2.0 utilise désormais Steinberg Licensing which eliminates the need for USB sticks. With the end of the old eLicencer service in March 2025, you will need to download the free update to VST Rack 2.0 version before this date to be able to benefit from it.
