Haute-Garonne. A house collapses, with three people inside

Since 7:19 a.m. precisely, this Thursday, December 5, 2024, firefighters have been intervening in the town of Salies-du-Salat (Haute-Garonne), in the very south of the department, following the collapse of a maison.

Three victims in the house

“Currently, the unconsolidated report shows three victims in the process of being extricated,” indicated the Haute-Garonne SDIS shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Wounded, but alive

According to our information, these three victims, the occupants of the house who were inside the home, would be injured, but alive. All were taken care of by the firefighters. Two were evacuated in relative urgency, the last in absolute emergency.

More than 50 firefighters on site

In total, some 51 firefightersincluding specialists from the Rescue and Search Unit (USAR), were deployed on site. “Fire equipment and several ambulances are on the scene,” adds the SDIS, alongside the Enedis teams.
