Lhe rules Play! Pokémon are regularly updated to allow for balanced competition in Championships. The documents have been updated and incorporate the changes made in the last quarter of 2024. Players, as well as JCC and video game teachers Pokémon Scarlet et Pokémon Purple are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new rules before taking part in their next competitions.

Below you will find the list of changes to the League Guide.

  • Several sections relating to the Store Portal have been updated and League administrative tasks can now be found in the Store Portal.

  • Updated Prerelease allocation in section 6.3.2.

  • Updated Early Sales program territories in section 6.3.4.2.

  • Addition of Appendix C: Eligibility for Cups and Challenges by region.

Below is a list of changes to the Standards of Behavior.

Below is the list of changes to the Tournament Rules Guide.

  • Adjustments regarding acceptable attire at events (section 2.4.1).

    • Update regarding wearing staff attire while not actively in that role.

    • Clarification on permitted attire for those in attendance, with additional information on what is expected when staff request a change of attire.

  • Lap tracking tools are no longer considered pre-written aids. They are now authorized during matches, but their use remains the responsibility of the competitors.

  • Change in tiebreakers for matches: delay is no longer the primary tiebreaker.

  • Update: In section 4.6.3.3, two-day tournaments become two-phase tournaments following the Championships format table.

  • Section 5.2.3.3 has been amended to include Regional and Special Championships as exceptions to the Pokémon TCG Legal Languages ​​clause. People who are competing or simply playing at an event can now use both English cards and cards in their country’s language at Regional and Special Championships, as well as International Championships and World Championships.

  • Section 7.3 is now titled “Basic Offences” instead of “Sanction Categories”.
