Tuesday, December 3, rescuers were called after a man disappeared in Haute-Savoie.
Having gone trail running in the mountains, the 48-year-old sportsman was found dead on the Plateau des Glières, north of La Clusaz.
An investigation was opened by the Bonneville public prosecutor’s office to determine the causes of death.
It was around 7 p.m. that the alert was given by the relatives of the forty-year-old who had no further news from him, TF1info learned this Wednesday from a source close to the matter. This 48-year-old man left in the morning of Tuesday December 3 to go trail running on the Glières plateau in Hautes-Savoie, a town close to the town of Petit-Bornand, according to the same source.
A major effort was immediately launched, including gendarmes, firefighters and a Civil Security helicopter.
An investigation opened to determine the causes of death
The victim’s lifeless body was found shortly after 9 p.m. by rescuers who were in the helicopter on the way up to the Plateau des Glières. The Bonneville public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death of the forty-year-old. This was entrusted to the gendarmerie.
