A new free update awaits you in The Sims 4. Enjoy new festive content now, as well as welcome fixes for an even more enjoyable experience.
The Sims 4 is a safe bet. In ten years of existence, the game has built a strong community. However, competition is starting to rear its ugly head, and it could well grab some of its loyalists… Therefore, Maxis and Electronic Arts will have to redouble their efforts to maintain interest among players. Big updates have been coming one after the other lately. A new one has just been released, we're giving you all the details on what it brings.
A Festive Look and Fixes for The Sims 4
After Halloween, new celebrations are slowly being prepared in The Sims 4. But, before getting to the heart of the end of year celebrationsthe game is slowly making the transition thanks to its patch 1.111.102.1030 (PC) / 1.111.102.1230 (Mac), also available on console with version 2.04. Take out your blankets, the atmosphere will be cocooning!
In fact, as the end-of-year events approach, The Sims 4 integrates novelties which are in tune with the times. Thus, new dishes and additional interactions are added to your experience:
- Comforting hot chocolate tray, which makes 6 hot drinks
- Double comfort blanket holder
- Two new dishes from Eastern cuisine: mămăligă and Mucenicis
- Two items of clothing inspired by Romania: a new hair scarf and a long coat
In addition, to the festive content offered by The Sims Express Delivery are added event quests. For three weeks, you will be invited to carry out small “missions”. These refer, as you will see, to traditions from all over the world.
An even more pleasant version to play
Maxis also provides support for Sims 4 by continuing to make corrections. Whether for the base game or the expansions, the little problems encountered here and there will be sorted out. Here is the detail:
Basic game
- The sky should no longer cause the game to crash unexpectedly under DirectX 11
- A crashing issue related to some mods has been fixed.
- Switching between pack filters on the Shop screen is now smoother on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
- Live events are no longer displayed as discovery quests, but they still unlock new rewards.
- The stairs in the Snowy Escape, Into the Jungle and Journey to Batuu packs now have support walls underneath them.
- The base game's Studs and Hoops Earrings are now available in more categories.
- Several tops for adults and children from the base game have been added to the Cold Weather category.
To life, to death
- Hector Chimera now correctly has the Child of the Reaper trait in new saves.
- Mermaid hairstyles now appear correctly in Create a Sim.
At the Restaurant
- When on a date, Sims now request a table instead of giving up and interrupting the interaction.
