“If tomorrow Michel Barnier is no longer prime minister, what’s the chaos?” says Jordan Bardella

While Jordan Bardella confirmed this Wednesday morning on Inter that the deputies of his party would vote this afternoon on the motion of censure tabled by the left, the president of the National Rally (RN) refuted everything «chaos» which would result from the overthrow of the Barnier government. “Where does the chaos come from? If tomorrow Michel Barnier is no longer prime minister, […] What’s the chaos?”asked the MEP, placing responsibility for the political situation on Emmanuel Macron and the former presidential majority.

Jordan Bardella thus criticized “the strategy of fear” wielded by the ruling coalition. “It’s totally false, it’s nonsense”he said in particular in reaction to allegations according to which nearly 400,000 people would become liable for income tax (IR) in the event of government censorship and lack of a budget. “A special law will be passed the very day after the rejection of this budget, and which can perfectly provide for the reindexation of the scale” of the IR, he indicated. “I ask my voters to trust me”he added.

“We were constructive until the end” in the negotiations with Michel Barnier, also assured the president of the RN, castigating a “recession budget, punishment, which will penalize growth and the purchasing power of our most modest compatriots”. “So it is my duty to reject this budget”he declared.
