Margot Robbie recalls an impromptu scene with Leonardo DiCaprio during her audition for “The Wolf of Wall Street” that could have gotten her in trouble.

A shoot that leaves its mark. Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio co-starred in the feature film “The Wolf of Wall Street”. More than 10 years after playing the role of Naomi Lapaglia, Margot Robbie decided to discuss an improvised and memorable scene from the film in the “Talking Pictures” podcast.

Margot Robbie spoke about one of the final stages of the audition before she was given the role. The young actress then decided to stand out from the others by modifying the script. When she had to perform a scene where her character had to kiss the actor, she chose another option, much more daring. She remembers this crucial moment: “I told myself that I could kiss Leonardo DiCaprio right away, and that it would be great. I can't wait to tell all my friends. And then I thought… No. » Before revealing: “I just hit him in the face. »

The actress continues her confidences and evokes the silence which followed this slap. She reveals: “There was dead silence for what seemed like an eternity, but only lasted three seconds. » Before qualifying the seriousness of his gesture with Leonardo DiCaprio's reaction full of second degree: “Then, they burst out laughing. Leo and Marty were laughing so hard they said, 'That was great.' I was like, 'I'm going to get arrested, I'm pretty sure it's assault. Not only will you never work again, but you'll go to jail for it, stupid. Also, why did you hit him so hard? You should have done it more gently.” An act which ultimately brought luck to the actress who obtained this role.
