From Friday December 6 to Sunday January 5, a multitude of activities will be offered in several places in the city of Dole.
Between the Christmas village made up of around thirty chalets and the ice rink, Place Nationale should still attract a significant crowd! The same will surely be true of Place aux Fleurs, where a children's carousel will be installed.
Kick-off this Friday from 6:30 p.m.!
As usual, the inauguration of the end-of-year festivities will take place at Place du 8 Mai with the launch of the illuminations, operated by Mayor Jean-Baptiste Gagnoux, at the foot of the large 12-meter fir tree, at 6:30 p.m. The traditional mulled wine offered by the municipality will also be there.
Then, from 7 p.m., Gospel for you family will take the stage to deliver its repertoire essentially made up of gospel classics and black spirituals, from the African-American tradition.
A sort of prelude to the Kwismas Night of Bars, during which around ten establishments will liven up the city by hosting concerts in their walls.

An anthology of additional activities
Gospel for you family will return Saturday, December 7, for a stroll through the city center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. But also Sunday December 15 at 3, 4, 5 and 6 p.m. between the Fresque des Dolois, the Place aux Fleurs and the Place du 8 mai.
Until Tuesday, December 24, 6 artisans will offer their creations at the pop-up boutique at 36 Grande Rue.
Saturday December 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Soupe des Chefs will return to Place du 8 mai as well as at the top of Rue de Besançon. The opportunity to come and taste (and buy) a soup made by a dozen Dolois chefs. More than 1000 bottles of soup will be on sale!
The entire proceeds will be donated to Restos du Cœur. Oysters, mulled wine and hot apple juice will also be on the program.
Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15, Crazy Max, Santa's official postman, will ride around on his bike in the heart of the city, broadcasting music straight from his magic mailbox…
Saturday December 21 and Sunday December 22, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the 4 singers of Carol of the Belles will roam the streets of Dole to take you on a journey into the world of Dickens' Victorian London. On the menu, a repertoire of Christmas carols, mixing timeless classics and modern adaptations.
The Great Christmas Show: Proud on Horseback
The highlight of the show will certainly be the big Christmas show put on by the Quidams company at 7 p.m. Place Précipiano. A succession of images, of imagination, which in an instant shift into a dreamlike atmosphere, where characters transform into fantastic and luminous horses. A wonderful preamble to the magic of Christmas… before the arrival of Santa Claus (operated with the assistance of the Holiday Committee and the Pas d'lézard association), who will offer papillotes to young and old children.
“This year the capacity of Place Précipiano is set at 6,000 places. We will install a 200-meter stage there,” proudly explains Alexandre Douzenel, deputy in charge of events, entertainment, innovation and digital.
“We also moved from blue and gray colors to a new graphic charter evolving towards red and gold, in order to improve the decorative aspect” underlines the latter.
UniDole invites itself to the party…
The Dole merchants' association, UniDole, is offering 10,000 euros to be won among merchants in the city center.
From December 6 to January 5, simply collect 4 stamps on UniDole cards by purchasing items from 4 partner merchants, and try your luck in the draw to win gift vouchers.
Among the participants in the Christmas game, one lucky winner will be chosen by drawing lots and will win “the merchants' basket”, a basket of 1,500 euros of gifts, offered by UniDole members.
Finally, from January 6, find the winning beans from your member artisans: bakers, pastry chefs and caterers, and win numerous gifts.
Santa's mailbox!
Until December 18, Place du 8 Mai, a special mailbox will be available to children who can send their letter to Santa Claus.

And the light was…
In total, the installation of the city's light decorations represents approximately 465 hours of work and 224 hours for removal.
No less than 21,000 LEDs will be lit, just for the illuminated ceilings.
As part of the Energy Savings Plan, the lights will be turned off at 10 p.m., as for public buildings. Without relighting in the morning.
In addition, 145 green trees and 140 flocked trees will be installed in the City. Not counting the 40 trees distributed by the logistics service to the various schools in the City.
