A month before his death, Liam Payne had packed up and flown to Florida with his partner, Kate Cassidy. He then put his Buckinghamshire mansion up for sale for 3.8 million euros.

3.2 million pounds sterling (or 3.8 million euros). It was for this sum that Liam Payne, who died on October 16, had put his mansion in Buckinghamshire (70 kilometers from London) up for sale only a few weeks before his disappearance. If he lived in the region to be close to his ex-partner Cheryl Cole and their 7-year-old son, Bear, the singer chose to fly to Florida for a new life with his sweetheart, Kate Cassidy.

Five bedrooms, 24,280 square meters of land, a private swimming pool, a stable and an annex… The One Direction member's former house could have been a great success on the real estate market, but the tragic death of the star appears to have pushed the agency to remove the ad from their site, according to the “Daily Mail”.

Liam Payne lived there from 2021 to September 2023. Speaking to the “Mail Online”, his former neighbors remember him as a “humble and sincere person”: “He lived discreetly. He was very private – but he was a very kind person who always greeted us with a smile and stopped for a little chat,” they say.

A new life in Florida

After leaving the United Kingdom, Liam Payne found another mansion in Wellington, Florida, which he rented for $9,500 (approximately 8,970 euros) per month while waiting to find another home. Because despite the five bedrooms and six bathrooms of this residence, the artist had chosen to only sign a temporary contract and had moved again, a few days before his death, according to “TMZ”.

On October 16, Liam Payne died at the age of 31 after a fatal fall from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires. According to the autopsy, the singer was then under the strong influence of drugs and alcohol – the report notably revealed the presence of “pink cocaine” in the system of the ex-member of the boy band One Direction: a mixture of drugs including methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA, according to “ABC News” and “TMZ”. Crack and benzodiazepines were also detected.
