Partially burned following a fire in his house in Payrac in the Lot on Friday, a teenager filled his moped with gasoline while it was running.
This terrible accident would have turned into a tragedy. Around 2:30 p.m., Friday November 29, two explosions started a fire in this house located in Payrac, in the Lot, rue des Vignes. The cause: a 14-year-old teenager who filled his moped with gasoline while it was running. 30% burned, the young man was taken care of by SMUR 46. He was airlifted to Purpan hospital in Toulouse. The teenager attended Gourdon high school.

19 firefighters mobilized
The young man perhaps owes his salvation to the unexpected presence of a firefighter who happened to be near the house. The latter was able to secure the scene while waiting for help.
Around twenty firefighters from Souillac, Labastide-Murat and Gourdon were mobilized to put out the fire.
