The Sauro played two games during the last weekend and with two victories, 5 to 1 in Val-Des-Sources and 9 to 0 at the Mégantic Sports Center against Guadeloupe, Lac-Mégantic took 3rd rank in the general ranking of the LRH. Coach Alain Bisson’s players left their opponents no hope by scoring four goals in the first period in both games.

On Friday, against the Nordick Blades, three players shared the five goals, two by Jean-Sébastien Vachon, two others by a newcomer, Mathys Poulin, while defenseman Christopher D. Landry completed the scoring.

During Saturday’s match at the Mégantic Sports Center, seven teammates scored the Sauro’s nine goals, Charles-Olivier Nadeau and Olivier Therrien, two goals each, and Jacob Turmel, Édouard Dostie, Charles Poulin, Louis-Joseph Guernon and Antoine Savard , completely downgrading the opponent.

During these two clashes, the Sauro goalkeepers engaged in the defense of the net, Jérémi Blais rejecting 24 of the 25 shots aimed at him in Val-Des-Sources and Saturday in Lac-Mégantic, Justin Fréchette whitewashing the opponent with 30 stops, in front of a crowd of 728 supporters of both teams.
At the end of this weekend, Windsor, Lac-Mégantic and Princeville each accumulated 16 points in the standings. The Wild holds 2nd place in goals against with 30 in 10 games, 33 for the Sauro and 41 for the Cobras in 11 games.

The Sauro will play its next game on Friday, November 29, at the Mégantic Sports Center at 8:30 p.m., hosting Desjardins-Wild of Windsor, while 2nd place in the standings will be at stake.
