Senegal progresses in the FIFA world rankings for November and moves from 20th to 17th place.
FIFA published its world ranking of football nations this Thursday, based on the results of the November international break. Senegal progresses and reaches 17th place in the world after its victories against Burkina Faso and Burundi, thus securing the head of its group for the CAN 2025 qualifiers.
Morocco, despite exceptional performances during the CAN 2025 qualifiers with overwhelming victories against Gabon (5-1) and Lesotho (7-0), lost one place and found itself 14th in the world rankings. Walid Regragui's team, however, retains first place on the African continent, ahead of Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria and Algeria. The African top 10 is completed by Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Cameroon, Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Among other highlights, Niger experienced one of the greatest progressions in the ranking. The Comoros, for their part, recorded an impressive gain of +31.23 points. Conversely, DR Congo suffered a significant loss of -35,538 points. At the global level, Argentina maintains first place, followed by France and Spain. These teams maintain their status as leaders on the international scene.
