After many twists and turns, the match of the 8th round of the Coupe de France between SM Caen (Ligue 2) and US Bolbec (R1) will be played this Saturday, November 30 at the Ornano stadium. In an emergency, the Caen club decided to only open one stand, but will broadcast the match live on video.

SM Caen has communicated the terms of opening the Ornano stadium for the match of the 8th round of the Coupe de France which pits them against fans of US Bolbec, this Saturday, November 30. While the match was initially scheduled for Pavilly (Seine-Maritime), it had to be urgently repatriated to the Caen grounds for security reasons.
If the people of Bolbecois were not satisfied to suffer this last minute invalidation of the prefecture, the weed leaders were not either. The authorities and the French Football Federation asked them to succeed in organizing the meeting and all its constraints in just three days.
Stade Malherbe Caen is doing everything it can to welcome its supporters, US Bolbec and its sympathizers in the best possible conditions, despite the adjustments linked to this exceptional situation.
Thus, in order to allow the reception of its supporters as well as the delegation of fans of the Upper Normandy club, the SMC has decided to open two stands. The popular Borrelli (2,901 seats), usual host of the Malherbe Normandy Kop, will be the only one able to accommodate a few thousand blue and red supporters. As for visitors, part of the stadium bays will be dedicated to them.
The ticket price was set at 10 euros. It is already possible to buy them, but only by going to the club shop at the Ornano stadium. If there are places left on the day of the match, the ticket office door 10 will open at 10 a.m. As for entry to the stadium, it will be accessible from 12:30 p.m.
“Given the limited deadlines and organizational constraints linked to this change of location, Stade Malherbe Caen had to adapt its reception conditions“, declares the club in its press release. A way of explaining to its own supporters that not everyone will be able to come to the Ornano stadium to attend this 8th round of the Coupe de France.
However, in order to alleviate the disappointment of some, the SMC announces that it will broadcast the meeting live on video on YouTube. Last summer, the club equipped itself with the necessary equipment to enable it to produce and broadcast its matches live. Until now, only friendly matches had been broadcast. This SM Caen – US Bolbec will therefore be a historic first for an official meeting.
