LIVE – Exercise at Tricastin: simulation of a plane crash at the power plant

The scenario is as follows: the crash of a plane on the site of the power plant. The accident took place at the pumping station, with a shutdown of reactors 3 and 4. The building of production unit number 4 is cracked following the crash and the cooling circuit cut off. This exercise should last until mid-afternoon, this Thursday, November 28. It should make it possible to test the responsiveness and organization of firefighters, police, prefecture services and hospitals. A school and a public building also participate in this simulation. The population within a 20 km radius around the nuclear power plant must also receive a FR-Alert message on his cell phone.
