Local painter Bernard Blin has been exhibiting his work for around 30 years but has been painting for much longer.

What technique do you use?

Bernard Blin: “I paint almost exclusively with a knife, a technique which dates from my meeting with the painter Marcel Hasquin with whom I took lessons after the Beaux-Arts in . His training was less academic, it was more of a guide to our own expression. But with him, I still created a watercolor travel journal. »

What are your inspirations?

“I paint portraits, landscapes, often series on themes like horses, music. I then devote myself entirely to it, with supporting documents, and I can paint eight hours a day. I have just created some paintings inspired by a recent trip to Quebec. »

Do you exhibit regularly?

“Yes, this year I participated in Nov' in Soucelles-Villevêque, with a large format 2 x 3 m; in Sables-d'Olonne, with paintings representing seasides and boats, I adapt. For the first time I exhibited at the Maison de la in Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire, for the benefit of Pink October. I will repeat the experience. I am also present at the medical office of Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou, route d'Angers, again for Pink October. »
