Israel failed to “occupy and settle cities”
The Hezbollah statement claims that Israeli forces have failed in their “attempts (…) to occupy and settle in towns”, to prevent Hezbollah attacks or to “establish a military and security buffer zone , as the enemy hoped”.
Hezbollah fighters targeted Israel “until the last day of the aggression,” the text adds. The truce agreement stipulates that Hezbollah withdraws north of the Litani River, about 30 kilometers from the border with Israel, and dismantles its military infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
