A major fire ravaged the premises of a construction company in La Bâtie-Rolland in Drôme. Firefighters quickly on site had to deal with water supply difficulties in the area concerned.

A violent fire broke out around 1:45 a.m. on the night of Wednesday November 27 to Thursday November 28, 2024 in the town of La Bâtie-Rolland (Drôme). Two industrial buildings of a construction company located on the road to Montélimar were completely destroyed, two others were able to be preserved thanks to the intervention of the Drôme firefighters.
At the height of the intervention, 25 vehicles and 71 firefighters were mobilized to fight the fire. Their task was complicated by the difficulty of supplying water in the area. Departmental road 540 was cut off as soon as emergency services arrived. The fire did not cause any injuries.
In the early hours of the morning, the fire was under control but not yet extinguished. Close monitoring of the site will continue for a good part of the day.
