Still in front of their home crowd, the nightmare season continues for the Sixers after this Wednesday evening. A new defeat for the organization, and a Guerschon Yabusele who quickly created a buzz on social networks.
While the Sixers were aiming for the title this season, like the reinforcement of Paul George, we can wonder today if the franchise will compete in the playoffs NBA next April. After an overtime defeat against the Rockets this Wednesday evening, 122-115, Nick Nurse’s men find themselves with a record of 3 wins and 14 losses.
The only good news is that we are still relatively early in the season. The team should be much better with the return of Paul George and Joel Embiid, but be careful not to hang around too much either. The organization is in difficulty, as we noticed with the ugly 14/34 shooting by Tyrese Maxey.
Guerschon Yabuse is the Sixers’ only hope
In great form since his debut at the Sixers, even Jared McCain had a small game with 15 points at 6/19 shooting. The only reason for hope this Wednesday was Guerschon Yabuselestill starting with all the absences. His stats against Houston? 22 points at 7/12 shooting, 7 rebounds and 1 block in 43 minutes of play.

Victory is not over, but Yabusele continues to prove that Sixers made the right choice by giving him a chance in the NBA. He doesn’t have much to complain about at the moment, but we could see his effectiveness, all at position 4 since he was associated with Andre Drummond. At least initially. And the supporters really liked it.

It is unlikely that Yabusele will still start with the return of the injured, but Nurse does not really have a choice: he will have to find minutes for the Frenchman.
Guerschon Yabusele is more than ever an essential member of the Sixers, especially when we play him in his real position. This bodes well for the future, even if the defeats keep coming. We will have to wait for the injured to return to judge.
