A terrible exit from the road. Shortly after 4:30 p.m., this Wednesday, November 27, 2024, emergency services were alerted following a traffic accident involving a single vehicle, in this case a car embedded in a plane tree.
Extricated by firefighters
The events occurred on the D17, known as “route de Montaigut”, on the municipality of Granadanorth of Toulouse. The victim – a 60 year old man –on board a utility vehicle, had to be extricated by the firefighters of the SDIS 31 (Haute-Garonne departmental fire and rescue service).
In “absolute emergency”, it was helicopter towards the hospital. At 5:20 p.m., the D17 was still cut in both directions of circulation.
An open investigation
In total, 11 firefighters are mobilized on the intervention, still in progress around 6:30 p.m. The gendarmes, who opened an investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the accident, carried out traffic regulation and initial findings.
