The area is cordoned off. Since 10:25 a.m., Wednesday November 27, 2024, the firefighters are mobilized on avenue des Canadiens, in Petit-Quevilly, to a gas leak.
According to the first elements provided by the emergency services, this intervention follows “ the tearing of a pipe individual during earthworks”.
80 subscribers deprived of gas
On site, firefighters established a security perimeter and use a fire hose for protection. Traffic is cut off in both directions.
At 11:42 a.m., the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) specified that “GRDF cut off a supply valve in order to stop the leak”. The gas network is thereforecompletely stopped in this sector. His recovery is currently expected “around 8 p.m.”.
80 gas subscribers are impacted by this cut. Among them, a hairdressing CFA and five restaurants. But according to the firefighters, “no technical unemployment is to be deplored”.
