La Victoire de Montréal submitted the names of forward Sarah Bujold and goalkeepers Marlène Boissonnault and Tricia Deguire to waivers Tuesday evening.

The other teams in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (LPHF) have until Wednesday, 3 p.m., to offer them a contract. Two hours later, the clubs will have to submit their final formation of 23 skaters and three reservists.
This means that, for the moment, forwards Gabrielle David, Alexandra Labelle, Dara Greig, Clair DeGeorge and Catherine Dubois as well as backs Catherine Daoust, Anna Wilgren, Anna Kjellbin and Kelly-Ann Nadeau still have their place with Marie-Philip Poulin’s band.
Audrey-Anne Veillette is available
Among the Quebecois, defender Maude Poulin-Labelle and attacker Audrey-Anne Veillette were not selected by the Boston Fleet and the Ottawa Charge, respectively. The general director of Victoire, Danièle Sauvageau, had wanted to invite Veillette to camp, but the latter had chosen to stay in the federal capital.
Elsewhere, former Montreal fullback Madison Bizal was unprotected by the New York Sirens.

A German guard
Bujold, originally from New Brunswick, didn’t break anything during training camp.
Last season, his fifth among the pros, the 28-year-old athlete amassed three goals and an assist in 21 games with the Montreal LPHF team.
As for her compatriot Boissonnault, she was the third goalkeeper in 2023-2024, behind Ann-Renée Desbiens and Elaine Chuli. The 27-year-old goalkeeper had only seen action during training. Last week, Boissonnault surrendered only once to the Charge during an exhibition game. But it seems that the German Sandra Abstreiter has convinced the Victory management.

For his part, Deguire was trying to return to the game after a year of absence. The 27-year-old Quebecer had worked with the Sherbrooke Phœnix in the QMJHL.
The first game of the regular Victory schedule will take place Saturday at Place Bell, at 5 p.m., against Ottawa.
