Rural Coordination, 2e agricultural union of the department, planned to participate in a regional demonstration Thursday. Around thirty tractors will meet early in Blois. Then from 8:30 a.m., they will take the highway to arrive in Orléans around 11 a.m. “The idea is to take two lanes and leave the 3e for trucks and cars »explains Frédéric Prégeant, treasurer of the union. Objective: meet the regional prefect Sophie Brocas, to ask for the assurance of having only one inspection per year on the farms – a demand made by the union since the winter of 2023-2024.
10 h 20. In the Viennathe prefect Serge Boulanger, newly arrived (taking office Monday November 25), immediately committed to welcoming the agricultural unions. This has already been done for the JA, Rural Coordination and the FNSEA. This is planned for the Peasant Confederation. In a press release dated this Wednesday, the FNSEA 86 welcomes this meeting, but it also calls “all farmers to mobilize and support the ongoing protests”.
10 h 10. In the Deux-SèvresYoung Farmers continue the movement. From 11 a.m., it will take the form of a filter barrier around the La Crèche roundabout, on the departmental 611, at the exit of the A10 and A83 motorway junction. Around twenty tractors are expected, double the number of demonstrators: the latter will check the contents of the refrigerated trucks which will pass by. The operation, the only one planned for this Wednesday in the department, is supposed to last until 11 p.m.
