Croatian Luka Modric sent his Golden Ball, won in 2018, to a young player who had been hospitalized for several months after the roof of his house fell.

Pure class. Very touched by the situation of a young Croatian player, Luka Modric (39 years old) was the author of a magnificent gesture. The Real Madrid player simply sent his Golden Ball, won in 2018, to the 18-year-old boy who was completely paralyzed on his left side. The Croatian international also sent him a signed Champions League ball and jersey.

“I wanted him to have it for a while. They were able to take a photo with him and maybe that will help him stay strong during his recovery. In this difficult situation, it was the least I could do,” Luka Modric told a media outlet in his country.

Player of 3e Croatian division, Ivan Scepina has been hospitalized for several months in a Zagreb hospital, after falling five meters from the roof of his house last June. In addition to being paralyzed on his left side, he also suffered a fractured skull and a dislocated jaw.

And Luka Modric is not the only one to have comforted the young man, currently in rehabilitation. The latter has also received the support of many players such as Andrej Kramaric and Josko Gvardiol and he benefits from a significant outpouring of generosity since nearly 250,000 euros were raised to cover the costs of his care.
