⚡️ Beirut was subjected to an extremely brutal bombing campaign throughout the day
Throughout the day, this Tuesday, November 26, the Israeli army multiplies strikes on Beirut. This afternoon, the IDF bombed the center and the southern suburbs twenty times in two minutes. Widening the scope of its attacks in Lebanon, Israel did not hesitate to use bomb diplomacy as discussions about a ceasefire continued.
The offensive is one of the most intense bombing campaigns since Israeli attacks began more than two months ago. The Israeli army had issued warnings concerning around twenty buildingslocated in different Beirut areas of Al-Hadath, Haret Hreik and Burj Al-Barajne, causing mass evacuations and plunging the streets of Beirut into mass traffic jams.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health issued a provisional statement announcing that the occupation raid on Al-Nuwairi resulted in the deaths of 7 people, including a woman and two children, and At least 37 injured.

⚡️ What the ceasefire agreement contains
The agreement between Israel and Lebanon, the outline of which was published by Israeli Army Radio, stipulates that Hezbollah and all armed groups in Lebanon agree not to attack Israel, while Israel refrains from carrying out offensive military operations against Lebanon.
⭕️ Both countries recognize the importance of UN Resolution 1701and strict measures will be put in place to dismantle unauthorized military infrastructure and control the production and sale of arms in Lebanon.
⭕️ Lebanese security forces will be the only ones authorized to operate in southern Lebanonand Israel will carry out a gradual withdrawal of its forces during the 60 days which follow. A joint commission will ensure the implementation of these commitments.
⭕️ However, point 4 of the agreement, which emphasizes that these commitments do not call into question the right of each country to self-defenseintroduces a breach that could legitimize Israeli operations on Lebanese territory, in particular in the event of violation of the agreement.

⚡️ What to remember from Benjamin Netanyahu's speech
⭕️ In a speech given on Israeli television, at 7 p.m. French time, Netanyahu indicated that he had accepted a ceasefire proposal and justified his decision to the Israeli population.
“There are several reasons for this ceasefire. We would like to focus on the Iranian threat, we want to give our army time to rest and to mobilize more soldiers. It is true that there are certain delays in the delivery of equipment and we have to wait. Finally, to isolate Hamas: it was necessary to put Hezbollah out of the picture. We are trying to change the face of the Middle East and this is only possible through the wisdom of our cabinet and the courage of our soldiers. With the grace of God we will continue our journey”.
⭕️ While the Israeli population was very supportive of an attack against Lebanon, from the first months of the war in Gaza, the Israeli Prime Minister tried to justify himself by indicating that he had not launched the attack against Hezbollah immediately because it kept “ eyes focused on the overall situation » :
“During this war, I watched the different fronts at the same time. At the start of this war, I focused on Hamas in Gaza and did not open a front against Hezbollah. I also made this choice by deciding to attack Hezbollah. I remain focused on the overall situation and I will continue to provide all the necessary tools to our army.”.
⭕️ The Prime Minister also insisted on the fact that Israel would retain complete room for maneuver and that it did not intend to end the war in Lebanon :
“They said we couldn't go back to fight when we signed a ceasefire with Hamas. But we returned to fight. They thought that because of international pressure, we would not seize the Philadelphia and Rafah corridor. We managed to do it. We do what we say and our determination to achieve victory is intact”.
