On Saturday, June 29 at 10:15 p.m., the Alert Processing Center (CTA) was informed of a serious traffic accident in Castelnau-d’Auzan (Gers), involving a car and an agricultural machine. The collision immediately mobilized significant resources to rescue the victims and restore the situation.
When help arrived, the report stated that three people were involved in the accident:
- A 56 year old man : Trapped in the vehicle, he was extracted by the firefighters and transported in relative urgency for more in-depth medical care.
- An 18 year old man : He received treatment on site and his condition did not require transport to a hospital.
- A 36 year old man : Like the 18-year-old, he was treated at the scene of the accident and was not evacuated.
The accident resulted in a complete closure of traffic on the affected section, causing significant disruption to road users.
The intervention required the mobilization of 19 firefighters from the fire and rescue centers of Castelnau-d’Auzan, Courrensan, Eauze and Vic-Fezensac. Their rapid deployment and efficiency made it possible to manage the situation professionally, thus limiting the consequences of the accident.
An investigation has been opened by the police to determine the causes of this accident.
