Friday November 22, 2024, at the Levroux fire and rescue center (CIS), a ceremony was organized in the presence of many elected officials, accompanied by musicians from the Les Vrais Amis association, to celebrate the retirement of Captain Laurent Corbillon who ended his activity as a volunteer firefighter on his sixtieth birthday, after forty years of dedication to serving the community, and the transfer of command to the CIS.

Lieutenant Benoît Étienne takes over from his colleague. Laurent Corbillon returned to the CIS in Levroux on December 15, 1984 at the age of 20. He quickly rose through the ranks: corporal on April 23, 1988, sergeant on 1is December 1990, second lieutenant on November 15, 1991, lieutenant on May 4, 2002 and captain on the 1is June 2015.

Deputy to the head of the center after only seven years of service, for twenty-two years, until June 16, 2023 upon the departure of honorary commander Jean-Louis Pesson, he takes the position of head of center until today, i.e. for eleven years.

He was also rewarded with numerous medals and several badges.

In forty years, Laurent has participated in countless missions, saving lives, protecting property, and providing assistance in difficult times.
