the essential
It has been two years since a call for witnesses was launched to find the young couple. Today, Patrick – Leslie’s father – and his partner, Émilie Cardré, affirm that “there are still things to discover”.

Two years after the assassination of Leslie Hoorelbeke and Kévin Trompat, the pain remains acute for Patrick, the young woman's father and for Émilie Cardré, her stepmother. A reconstruction of the facts was organized at the beginning of last October. The five suspects, all indicted for “assassination”, “kidnapping”, “sequestration”, “concealment of a corpse”, “altering a crime scene”, had participated in this decisive stage of the investigation which took place in Prahecq (Deux-Sèvres). This Monday, November 25, 2024, it has been two years since Leslie and Kévin went missing.

Today, Patrick and Émilie want the investigation to continue: the couple tells our colleagues at Southwest that in this file, “there are still things to discover”. Both carefully keep all the new information linked to the investigation, which was included in the file: “We discovered elements, such as this male DNA found on Leslie's underwear thrown in Puyravault's dumpster, describes the father by Leslie. It belongs to a man who has been missing in eastern for ten years. Why don't we try to find him and interview him?

An “explosive cocktail”

According to our colleagues, this could be what we call “transfer DNA”: “I shake someone's hand, I leave them my DNA. This person touches the object and will not leave his DNA but mine”, explained General François Daoust, former director of the National Gendarmerie Research Institute (IRCGN) to BFMTV. Patrick and Émilie, however, want all avenues to be studied before the trial which should be held in 2026.

Murders of Leslie and Kévin: “Who carried out which attacks with which weapons?”… A reconstruction has begun to lift the veil on the case

While the couple returned to the home of their friend, and main suspect, Tom Trouillet, Leslie and Kévin were brutally attacked with machetes and hammers by a perfectly organized commando. Tom Trouillet assured a psychiatrist that there was “no death plan”. According to the conclusions of the expertise carried out by the psychiatrist, the main suspect took action “under the effect of an explosive cocktail: his inability to bear his romantic breakup, his desire for revenge against both victims and the prospect of finding themselves freed from debt by direct elimination of Kevin”.
