A duel of brothers in P3C, Saint-symphorien hosted Havré this Sunday afternoon. Havré had to win to end a series of 3 draws but St-Symphorien was well motivated to win this derby at home. A derby spiced up by the position at the top of the ranking of the two clubs. Everything was there to watch a great football match.
Saint-Symphorien and Havré did not manage to score a single goal in this match and therefore decide between them. A 0-0 draw which was not very pleasant to watch, but important for the ranking.
Who says derby, very often says physical impact! More than ever, this was the case in this match despite the youth of the team aligned by Frédéric Chalet.
Even if the Chiconniers did not steal the draw, without a great Martin Gosset in the Symphorinois goal, Havré would probably have left with the 3 points.
No worries for Havré who, despite a 4th draw in a row, remains confident of achieving his final goal of being champion in P3C.
A draw against Havré was an unexpected result for Saint-Symphorien at the start of the season. The initial objective of maintenance seems already acquired. As a result, the players begin to dream of a final round at the end of the season.
The supporters did not enjoy themselves during this match, but the players, many of whom played for both clubs, enjoyed seeing friends on the pitch again. The 3rd half in any case already promises to be more lively than the first two.
