After a great 5-1 victory last Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Canadian was back in action on Monday evening, as Connor McDavid and the powerful Edmonton Oilers offense locked horns in a 3-0 shutout loss.
Since then, the Montreal organization has benefited from a long 4-day rest.
However, this morning, some players were back on the ice as part of the optional morning practice.
For the occasion, the head coach Martin St. Louis revealed his starting goalie for tonight’s game against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, live from the Bell Centre.
Indeed, as Renaud Lavoie reports via his thread Twitter/X, Samuel Montembeault will be St. Louis’ go-to guy.
This will be a 16th start this season for Monty.
Until now he has a record of 6-8-1, a goals against average of 2.85 and an efficiency percentage of .906.
The Habs’ starting lineup should be known a few minutes before the game.
More details will follow.
