Basel-City says “yes” to Eurovision
On Sunday, the citizens of Basel-City overwhelmingly approved the credit of 37.5 million francs to organize Eurovision 2025.

Voters in the Swiss city of Basel largely approved on Sunday the investment of 34.96 million Swiss francs (37.4 million euros) to host Eurovision 2025, according to the first results after polling stations closed .
According to a partial count – most people having voted in advance by post – 66.4% of Basel voters approved this investment. Without funding from the host city, the television event, which attracts a huge global audience, would have been significantly truncated.
