There are voices more famous than the faces that carry them. This is the case of Zette in the 12 shots of noonbut also William Pinville, who was the voice-over for Questions for a champion for almost 25 years. Unfortunately, BFM announced his disappearance this Thursday, November 21, confirming information from journalist Clément Garin who announced his death on November 20. “According to my information, the sixty-year-old died of a heart attack.”, he indicated on X (formerly Twitter). For the moment, the causes of his death have not been revealed.

William Pinville was the voice-over for Questions for a champion from 1992 to 2016. He was responsible for presenting the candidates at the start of the show and announcing the amount of prize pools and gifts. When Julien Lepers was dismissed, he was replaced by a female voice, Clotilde Donna. But his voice remained in everyone's memories. “One day, the caretaker of my building told me that she had said to her husband: “I'm sure that Mr. Pinville, the tenant, is the voice of Questions for a Champion. Her husband didn't believe her. So she asked me”, he told Parisian in 2008.

We lived 25 years together, extraordinary“, said the father of Guillaume and Lorraine. He took the opportunity to reveal that he will be present at her funeral, the date of which has not yet been revealed to the public.
