In “Ad Vitam”, we can see Guillaume Canet play a man caught up in his past after his wife was kidnapped by mysterious armed men. The film has just received a first trailer.
Guillaume Canet at the center of the action film To Life
Guillaume Canet will soon star in a new French action film planned for Netflix. In To Lifethe actor plays Franck Lazareff, a man who is preparing to welcome a child with his wife Leo. But one day, this one is kidnapped by a mysterious group of men. Franck is then caught up in his past and plunged into an affair of state.
To Life is the new film of Rodolphe Lauga. In addition to realizing it, the latter wrote the screenplay with Guillaume Canet. The two men had already collaborated on several occasions before this feature film, notably writing together Rock’n Roll. They were also helped by David Corona to write the script for their new film.
An action-packed first trailer
Netflix has released the first trailer forTo Life. We see men breaking into the house of the character played by Guillaume Canet before kidnapping his wife. They then demand from Franck that he give them something. But the latter don't plan to let it happen.
The plot ofTo Life can recall that of Takenand the trailer for the feature film also shows us, lots of action scenes. Guillaume Canet can be found there later covered in bloodsometimes speeding through the forest behind the wheel of a motocross bikesometimes chased by a man on a Paris roof.
Release planned for early next year
Alongside Guillaume Canet, Stéphane Caillard plays Leo in To Life. The cast of the film is, among others, also composed of Nassim Lyes, Alexis Manenti, Johan Heldenbergh and Zita Hanrot.
To Life will arrive early next year on Netflix. It will be visible on the platform from January 10, 2025. Until then, Guillaume Canet will wear The Flood. He will appear in the role of Louis XVI opposite Marie-Antoinette played by Mélanie Laurent in this feature film which will be released next December 25 at the cinema. He is also expected to appear in Bellethe new film by Benoît Jacquot. This one doesn't have a release date yet.
