Police strike, a 27-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder, carrying a weapon with dangerous intent and discharging a firearm.
He was also arrested for an armed attack that occurred yesterday, November 20.
The man is currently in custody and is expected to appear today at the Quebec courthouse.
On November 16, around 7:20 p.m., 911 was informed of a shooting outside in the Limoilou area.
Quickly, several patrol units converged on the scene. Following multiple checks and searches, no suspect or victim had been located.
It is following an investigation that they will finally be identified. The victim, a 25-year-old man, was not injured.
A search which took place at the suspect’s home, still in the same area, led to the seizure of:
A baseball bat
A knife
Nearly $700 in Canadian currency
Nearly 25 g of crystal meth
Just over 200 methamphetamine pills
During the search, two other people on site were also arrested, namely a 25-year-old man subject to an arrest warrant and a 33-year-old woman subject to a breach of commitment. They are also detained and are expected to appear today at the Quebec courthouse.
The police strike was carried out by the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ), accompanied by investigators from ENRCO, the Tactical Intervention Group and other SPVQ units.
