The Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a yellow level weather alert for thunderstorms, which could be also intense locallyvalid from 9 p.m. today, Thursday November 21stfor the next 24 hours, until 9 p.m. tomorrow, Friday November 22throughout the territory of Campania.
In addition to thunderstorms, the alert also concerns the presence of strong winds from the western sectorswith gusts possible. The sea will be rough or very rough, with a risk of storms.
Possible hydrogeological risks
Throughout the region, a hydrogeological risk is planned, with the possibility of various harmful phenomena.
Surface runoffwith the risk of transporting materials; flooding of underground premises and those located on the ground floor; water flowing on the roads, with possible problems in stormwater drainage systems, which could overflow and flood the lowest areas; rise in hydrometric levels in rivers, with possible flooding of surrounding areasalso due to local problems such as buried sections or strictures; landslides and rockfalls in different areas of the territory.
