By far the pair that caused the most talk this year at Occupation DoubleMaude and Mamadou lay their cards on the table about their adventure and their relationship, and it’s… really surprising!

After all of Quebec learned that Maude d’Occupation Double was seriously dating hockey player Mathieu Joseph just before his departure for Mexico, the ex-candidate caused quite a scandal. Many questioned her authenticity in the adventure and felt that she had ruined Mamadou’s adventure by keeping him as top 1 while not seeking a romantic relationship with him during the show.
Now back from the house of the excluded following their simultaneous elimination, Maude and Mamadou visited Rémi Desgagné to play Truth or Drink on his YouTube channel – it was the perfect opportunity to explain and take stock of their on-screen representation and connection.

1. Maude doesn’t have a great connection with all the girls inDouble Occupancy Mexico
As she prepared to drink to avoid answering Rémi’s question about her friendships at OFthe model ended up emptying her bag. As they explained to Rémi, the two ex-participants were able to enjoy their time in the house of the excluded together and had good communication, preferring to explore their feelings rather than taking time apart.
4. Both candidates were confronted with their insecurities during the show
Maude and Mamadou participated in Occupation Double with different goals in mind: one was looking for personal development, while the other planned to find love. However, they both had similar reactions to this reality TV experience, namely falling into insecurity.
Mamadou revealed that he often found it difficult to be confronted with the evolution of the relationships of the other boys in his house, while his loves did not go at the same pace. Constantly immersed in the reflection that his constant free time brought with nothing to do, he asked himself a lot of questions. He also admitted that the therapist assigned to the adventure candidates had helped him discover that he was not assertive enough, and put the happiness of others before his own.
Maude, on the other hand, thought she had great self-confidence, but realized that she often compared herself to other girls in terms of appearance, and wanted to work on this aspect of herself to improve. She also had a difficult experience with the public’s reactions to her relationship with Mathieu Joseph, which she had not revealed to Mamadou, but even if she is hurt, she says she understands the questions of the listeners, who had not all the explanations. She notes, however, that she is far from the only one to have dated someone just before the start of the show, and believes that her case has gone viral simply because Quebec carries Mamadou in its heart and because The other man involved is also making a public profile.
5. Maude is no longer in contact with Mathieu Joseph, despite their previous connection
When Rémi asked her if she had seen the hockey player again since his return from Mexico, Maude said that she had simply called him once to explain her adventure. Although she had met his family before leaving, and they had exchanged the famous “I love yous”, she has now put all contact with him on ice to concentrate on what she is developing with Mamadou. They have not spoken since; For Maude, the expression “out of sight, out of mind” took on its full meaning throughout her adventure, and she didn’t see herself picking up where she left off with Mathieu.

6. Mamadou was dating two girls before flying to Mexico
Maude was not the only one to have a heavy heart when she left for the filming of the reality show! Mamadou admitted to having had a “summer thing» with a girl before leaving for Mexico. It was, according to him, not serious, and the person in question knew from the start that he was going to participate in Occupation Doubleand therefore that a serious relationship could not result from their non-exclusive courtship.

7. The two excluded had reconciliations after their elimination
Once they arrived in the house of the excluded and things were clarified, Maude and Mamadou had 5 weeks together to get to know each other. As Mamadou says, the lovebirds were able to have “emotional connections”, but also indulged in the tension that hovered between the two of them! Generous in his confessions, he admitted to having slept with Maude during their stay in this villa.
Maude also added, after some curious questions from Rémi, that Mamadou “French” *very* well.
8. Maude and Mamadou are now exclusive and happy together!
It seems they are well along the path to love! Their attraction took off quickly after their elimination, and they also felt as if the other was their reference point through the trying adventure of participating in this reality show:
“I have a knot in my stomach 24 hours a day, except when [Mamadou] is there,” Maude confided.
