The occupant of a house in Bas-Rhin was injured when a mobile crane collapsed on her home in broad daylight.
A tragedy was averted when a mobile crane tipped over and crashed into a home on Tuesday, November 19. As reported by Actu.fr, the events took place in Niederrœdern, in Bas-Rhin. One victim was slightly injured in the accident.
Around fifteen firefighters in intervention
The impressive accident saw the imposing machine crash into the occupant's pavilion, who was therefore injured and transferred to hospital in an emergency related to the Wissembourg hospital center. Around fifteen firefighters were dispatched to the scene, including members of the support and rescue rescue unit (USAR) specializing in interventions in collapsed or ruined environments.
The four workers present on the scene were unhurt. At the end of the day, the intervention was still in progress and lasted several hours. A security perimeter had to be maintained.
