Who are the 5 finalists of “Koh-Lanta: The Cursed Tribe”?

It was written in advance, or almost. After the elimination of Cassandre last Tuesday, the noose tightened around Ugo and Cécile, the last two adventurers of the ex-red team. In front of them, five ex-yellows determined to go to orientation together. Did they succeed? Not quite. This is what you need to remember from episode 14, available now for streaming on TF1+.

The evening started with a (huge) emotional sequence. When they arrive at the comfort test, the adventurers discover quite a surprise reserved by the production. Everyone will in fact be joined by one of their loved ones, from France! The winner of the event will take him to share a meal and a night's rest in an idyllic setting, far from the camp…

A heartbreaking reunion

Charlotte, the Belgian candidate, finds Karine, her mother, from whom she is inseparable. Thibaut, the Corsican farmer, falls into the arms of Olivier, his big brother. “He's my fishing teacher.”reveals the one who fed the entire tribe thanks to his aquatic exploits. Cécile welcomes Clémence, her little sister, while Ugo sees Lisa, his partner, arrive, hugging her for a long time in front of the cameras.

Her husband remaining with their little boy, Sophia has a visit from Francesca, her best friend. Ilyesse finds him… Ilyesse, his best friend from Montfermeil. “You have all the 93 with you!“, he tells him. Finally, Jacques bursts into tears when he sees Véronique, his mother, arrive. “I get up 'Koh Lanta', I go to bed Koh Lanta. I think about him all the time.” she admits to Denis Brogniart. “And I find him handsome, as usual!“.

All against Ugo!

The comfort test is a classic of the show. With a heavy bag on their shoulder, the candidates compete in an obstacle course. For men it weighs 5 kilos, for women 3 kilos. At each elimination, the loser transmits his weight to the candidate of his choice. And so on until only one remains.

Unsurprisingly, each yellow that is eliminated transmits its weights to the valiant Ugo. The “Phoenix” does not flinch and still manages to climb to fourth place. Who will he pass on his 13 kilos to? Not in Charlotte”because she's a woman, that doesn't happen“. A bit embarrassed, he chose Ilyesse rather than Thibault, believing that he deserved to win his first victory of the season. And this is the case, the farmer clearly ahead of Charlotte while Ilyesse struggles far behind.

“Vittoria !“, exults the Corsican as he embraces his brother with whom he is going to enjoy a feast of lobsters… while the six others experience a nightmare night, their camp hit by a tropical storm. Under the pouring rain, Ugo thinks: he knows that he absolutely must win the immunity test to avoid being taken out at the council.

The immunity test, precisely: blindfolded, the seven candidates must collect six tiles, identify them by touch and place them back on a post at the other end of the track. It's complicated, but it's worth it. The winner will be untouchable on the board and directly qualified for orientation. The last one eliminated on the spot. Suspense, suspense…

After a great start, Ugo makes an error of judgment and lets the brilliant Ilyesse fly to victory. And become the first qualified for orientation. Quite a revenge for the engineering student who was part of the cursed tribe at the start of the season, before stringing together victories with the yellows and then individually. He is followed by Thibault, Jacques, Ugo, Charlotte, Cécile… and finally Sophia, forced to leave her comrades immediately.

Back on camp, Ugo is not having a great time. Even if Llyesse admits to him that he would like to play her on merit and save him to the detriment of Cécile. Aware that his destiny is not in his hands, the ex-red captain sets out in search of a third immunity necklace, since he has already used the previous two to save himself and Cassandra. In vain.

The advice is final. With five votes to two in Charlotte, Ugo is eliminated from “Koh-Lanta: The Cursed Tribune” at the gates of the orientation. It is therefore Ilyesse, Thibaut, Jacques, Charlotte and Cécile who will compete for the three places on the posts next Tuesday during the penultimate episode of the season. One of them will be proclaimed the winner on December 3 live on TF1 and TF1+.
