As Samsung indicated in a blog post published this Tuesday, the Korean manufacturer has started rolling out its update not only to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, but also to older models.
After several months of beta phase — and almost eight months without any updates — Samsung announced that the Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy Watch FE would benefit “ Soon » de One UI 6 Watch.
New features offered on older Samsung watches
As a reminder, this is the software interface with which the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra launched last July were natively released. This update, based on Wear OS 5, allows you to benefit from several new features. This is particularly the case for the new Samsung energy score, calculated every day, but also for advanced sleep data or sleep apnea detection.
In addition, the update will allow you to benefit from new features in terms of dials. For Samsung smartphone users, it will also be possible to benefit from suggested responses to notifications or the double pinch gesture to answer a call, similar to what the latest Apple Watches offer.
Samsung specifies that the update to Wear OS 5 will be available first for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The other watches will gradually be updated, “ sequentially », in the coming months.
