Uruguay drew 1-1 with Brazil at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador on the twelfth day of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, but the only bad news is the yellow card received by one of the eight players on the verge of being suspended.
Manuel Ugarte will miss the next match against Argentina in March at the Estadio Centenario after receiving his fourth yellow card. The incident happened in the 41st minute when he fouled Vinicius just outside the penalty area, and Chilean referee Piero Maza made the correct decision.
The Manchester United midfielder had already been booked during the matches against Chile (3-1 in Montevideo) and Argentina (2-0 in Buenos Aires), which forced him to sit out of the match against Bolivia. He received his third yellow card in the goalless draw against Venezuela in Maturín.
