Two people were found dead on the morning of Wednesday, November 13, in their apartment located on rue du Général Ducrot, in Strasbourg. It was a couple originally from Bas-Rhin. 86 years for her and 72 years for him.
A judicial investigation is underway.
The causes of the two deaths remain to be determined.
The police intervened around 8 a.m. on Wednesday November 13.
According to a police source, “people heard a loud 'boom'. There was smoke in the apartment. The lady was lying in bed and was not not injured. On the other hand, the man was allegedly hit by a gunshot. Multiple weapons of this type were found at the scene. »
The same source adds that “there will be an autopsy. For the moment, we cannot rule out femicide followed by suicide. We also cannot exclude that she died a natural death. She had been ill for a little over ten years. It could be that he couldn't stand it. »
The man spoke little French
Neighbors were shocked by the event.
A couple living on the same floor describes a gentleman always dressed in a “brown velvet jacket, a cap, gray hair and bright look. He went out shopping every day to Carrefour of Schiltigheim, but he walked with a cane. »
The man has obviously not formed any particular bond with his next-door neighbors. And for good reason: “ He spoke Alsatian and French with difficulty. On barely understood what he said. »
The woman was bedridden
As for his companion, the neighbors have difficulty describing her. “She had to leave the apartment twice. She was bedridden. A nurse came in the morning and evening,” confides a resident of the building.
According to another resident, “this lady wascaregiver at the Orangery. She treated my partner when she was hospitalized there. Him, I don't know what he was doing. »
It does not seem to him that the couple was “receiving people.” Life must have been difficult for them. »
