The Bravos d’or: what is this new awards ceremony hosted by Nagui on France 2?

Twenty years after the disappearance of the 7 d’Or, Nagui reinvents awards television. With “The Golden Bravos”the host launches an innovative ceremony which will celebrate cultural successes, without jury or vote, but with the public as the sole judge.

Nagui relaunches cultural awards

Twenty years after the disappearance of the legendary 7 d'Or, Nagui resurrects the spirit of award ceremonies, but with a more ambitious and transversal visione. “The starting point was to tell myself that, since the 7 d’Or, television no longer had its awards party”, explains the host to AFP. Unlike its predecessor, which focused solely on television broadcasts, “Les Bravos d’or” will embrace all artistic disciplines.

An innovative concept supported by Nagui

This ceremony is radically different from traditional awards ceremonies. No jury, no vote: only the public will be in the spotlight. “It will not be an election but an observation of public success”, specifies Nagui. Rewards will be awarded based on objective criteria such as number of entries, sales and audiences. “The observation of public success is not an insult in itself”he assumes.

A cultural evening presented by Nagui and his accomplice

Scheduled in prime time in January on 2, “The Golden Bravos” will be co-presented by Nagui and Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi, his accomplice on the radio show “La Bande Originale” on France Inter. Around fifteen categories are planned, representing all cultural sectors: cinema, theater, television, radio, books, podcasts, streaming…

Filming is planned for December at the Théâtre Marigny in . If the public responds, Nagui hopes to make this ceremony an unmissable annual event.

Between this new show and the return of Intervilles, Nagui, despite the controversies, proves more than ever that he is the strong man of France Télévisions!
