The popular RAV4 Prime will now be adorned with a “PHEV” (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) emblem and will officially be called “RAV4 plug-in hybrid” in the language of Molière, in order to make things clearer for ordinary buyers. , according to Toyota. And the price increase? It roughly varies from $400 to $550. For example, the 2025 RAV4 LE AWD at the bottom of the scale climbs $405 to $37,125 including various fees.
As for the RAV4 hybrid, the least expensive is the LE version, which sees an increase of $555 and now costs $40,075. That’s about $5,000 below the base price of the new 2025 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid ($45,045 including fees), which uses exactly the same 219-horsepower system but consumes 6.2 L/100 km on average instead of 6 L/100 km and offers a slightly different throttle response to maintain superior sportiness.
