Beyoncé will sing during halftime of an NFL match, the prestigious American football league, on Christmas Day, Netflix, the broadcaster of the match, announced this weekend.
The singer will play at home in her hometown of Houston in the game between the Texans and the Baltimore Ravens. She should, for the first time, sing live songs from her latest album “Cowboy Carter”, which was a great success in the United States.
“Although details of her performance are not yet known, Beyoncé is expected to feature celebrity guests who appear on the album Cowboy Carter“, Netflix shared in a statement.
Miley Cyrus, country stars Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, and Post Malone participated in the album.
The giant Netflix will also broadcast the other NFL meeting scheduled for Christmas Day, December 25: that between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A first for Netflix
This will be the first time that the platform will broadcast American football, after broadcasting its first sporting event on Friday. It was about the boxing match between former professional Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul, during which Netflix encountered technical problems.
