During the night from Friday to Saturday, a business in Dangé-Saint-Romain (Vienna) was the target of robbers. The latter had in fact set their sights on the tobacco press of the small town. However, the operation did not go as planned. Their forceful intrusion caused the building to burn, as reported by our colleagues from France Bleu.
Around 2:30 a.m., a car showed up in front of the establishment located at 72 avenue de l’Europe. The gang of thieves chose the ram-car technique to carry out their heist: the vehicle pulls back, rushes forward and hits the facade of the tobacco shop which gives way under the violence of the shock. But barely have they entered when the first flames begin to invade the place.
The scientific police mobilized
Very quickly, the fire grew and spread throughout the building. Around thirty firefighters arrived quickly on the scene to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding businesses. The apartment located above the newsagent was fortunately unoccupied at the time of the incident.
