Revelations arise in the case of Jérôme Bandiaky, alias “Sniper”, accused of having been a henchman of the presidential camp during the mandate of Macky Sall.

According to the newspaper Libération, a “key witness” to the charges against Bandiaky provided compromising information about him. The witness in question reportedly told investigators that he had seen Jérôme Bandiaky, accompanied by “Mbeuss” and Dof Ndèye, go one day to the home of a prominent member of the former regime in a vehicle containing machetes and automatic pistols, among other weapons.

To clarify these accusations, the Dic police officers arrested “Mbeuss”, whose real name is Bathie Bâ, an affiliate of the Boy Niang stable, explains Libération. In addition, Dof Ndèye, already incarcerated for another case, should soon be taken out of prison to be heard by investigators. This new twist occurs as part of the application of a judicial delegation sent discreetly by the Dean of Judges to the Dic, after Jérôme Bandiaky was placed in pre-trial detention.
