BROSSARD – The Canadiens got back to work at the CN Sports Complex on Sunday morning, the day after a 5-1 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Morale was good in Brossard, and Martin St-Louis’ men hope to be able to use Saturday’s victory as a source of motivation for the future.
“I think we created a lot more scoring chances, which was positive. That’s one of the things we’re working on. We have to score goals to win matches; it’s not enough to be good defensively. We have to be threatening on all levels,” reported Alex Newhook, who completed two hits and had a +2 differential against the Blue Jackets. “I think yesterday we got closer to where we want to be. [On doit] take that and move forward, and continue with that offensive mentality. »
The entire group participated in the session, with the exception of forward Brendan Gallagher and defender David Savard, who instead benefited from a day of treatment.
