BROSSARD – The Canadiens got back to work at the CN Sports Complex on Sunday morning, the day after a 5-1 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Morale was good in Brossard, and Martin St-Louis’ men hope to be able to use Saturday’s victory as a source of motivation for the future.
“I think we created a lot more scoring chances, which was positive. That’s one of the things we’re working on. We have to score goals to win matches; it’s not enough to be good defensively. We have to be threatening on all levels,” reported Alex Newhook, who completed two hits and had a +2 differential against the Blue Jackets. “I think yesterday we got closer to where we want to be. The entire group participated in the session, with the exception of forward Brendan Gallagher and defender David Savard, who instead benefited from a day of treatment.
