Rapper Dof Ndèye was arrested this Monday around 4:30 a.m. in Nguékhokh by the gendarmes, marking a new stage in a case involving attempted murder and intentional assault and battery with a bladed weapon.

After his arrest, he was placed in police custody at the Kaolack territorial brigade and should be brought before the Kaolack high court on Tuesday, unless there is a last minute change, according to Seneweb. Faced with investigators, Dof Ndèye admitted to having attacked B. Faye with a knife, accusing the latter of having vandalized his vehicle while he was hosting a concert in Ndoffane.

The victim managed to escape, injured and covered in blood, and filed a complaint with the Kaolack territorial brigade, accompanied by a medical certificate attesting to a temporary incapacity for work of 30 days.

The authorities issued a wanted notice against Dof Ndèye, who had hidden in Nguékhokh by turning off his phone. The gendarmes finally located his position and arrested him in a muscular nighttime operation led by the Mbour company and its elite units.
