Almost a year after Thomas' murder in Crépol, the RC Romans-Péage rugby team, of which the 16-year-old was a member, paid tribute to the teenager. This Saturday, November 16, a minute of applause was observed on the pitch of the Drôme club.
A minute of applause, flowers, a banner. A year after the death of young Thomas, his death is still on everyone's minds. This Saturday, November 16, the players of the RC Romans-Péage rugby team paid tribute to Thomas Perotto, but also to Nicolas Dumas, two former members of the club who recently lost their lives in dramatic circumstances.
“It hurts my heart. We can say whatever we want, but it won't bring him back. We are heartbroken, but unfortunately Thomas and Nicolas have left,” said a resident of the town of Romans-sur-Isère at CNEWS.
“It’s unfortunate that disasters like this still exist”
The death of Nicolas, a few hours after being shot in the head during a shooting on Halloween night, once again plunged members of the community and the rugby club into mourning. “It’s unfortunate that disasters like this still occur. Especially since young people go out to have fun. Taking a bullet like that is terrible,” reported a resident.
The club which faced the RC Romans-Péage junior team this Saturday, decided to offer a jersey in tribute to the two young men with the inscription: “With all my heart with the family, the friends, the club. To Nicolas and Thomas.
“Our players worked together during the week so that we could make this gesture. Obviously, our leaders accepted that we could do it,” declared the father of a player from the opposing team.
A gathering, which should be held discreetly, will be held in Thomas this Sunday, November 17.
