He completed his first internship at the Isigny cooperative in 1974. Then recruited by the Sainte-Mère-Église cooperative (Manche) to the position of deputy directorhe is the architect of the merger of the two cooperatives on January 1, 1980. He takes the management of the cooperative in 1991, succeeding Roger Chincholles. It will be in operation until 2023.
At 74, he decided to hand over and of retireafter having conquered the international market. Butters, creams, cheeses and infant milk powder are now present on five continents.
From Great Britain to Germany, the United States and Asia, Isigny-Sainte Mère products are today recognized and appreciated all around the globe.

By becoming the first employer in BessinDaniel Delahaye has significantly contributed to the dynamism of the local economy and has enabled hundreds of people from the entire sector to live from their work. “By acquiring Isigny caramels in 2019 and then purchasing the former Lactalis wasteland to turn it into an ultra-modern mimolette storage site, you have strengthened the link between Isigny-Sainte-Mère and the commune. », Declares the former general manager of Isigny Sainte-Mère.

I had the chance to meet people, strangers, they all helped me and trust is earned! I have worked with several generations of producers and employees. I worked with the grandparents, I hired the parents, the grandchildren to whom I told anecdotes that they did not know. I have Japanese clients who have asked me to be godfather to their children, to choose a first name… This whole life has had an impact on me,” says the businessman.
