In July 2023, Caroline Receveur, influencer and former reality candidate, announced to her subscribers on Instagram some shocking news: she was suffering from aggressive breast cancer, but fortunately detected at an early stage. With disarming sincerity, she shared her daily life punctuated by treatments, trips to the hospital, and the physical and psychological trials imposed by the illness. She also spoke of the loss of taste, a symbol of the impact of this ordeal on her joy of living, but underlined the unwavering support of her husband Hugo Philip and their son Marlon.

A new step taken: the withdrawal of the PAC

After several months of treatment, it was with strength and resilience that Caroline Receveur confided to her subscribers that she was finally cured. However, she continued to wear her PAC, (Port-à-Cath), which worried Internet users. But this Friday, November 15, 2024 marks an important step in Caroline Receveur’s journey towards recovery. After 18 months of treatment, she revealed on Instagram that she had removed her PAC, this device implanted under the skin to facilitate the administration of chemotherapy. “Yesterday, I said goodbye to my PAC, this little box implanted under my skin which allowed me to receive my chemotherapy […] I am freed from it today with emotion after 18 months of treatment. “, she wrote with emotion.

Rebuilding yourself after an operation

In addition to this great news, Hugo Philipp’s partner revealed that she had also undergone an operation… But there is no need to panic, it is a symbolic intervention used in its reconstruction. Caroline Receveur therefore proceeded to reduce her breasts, a decision taken after her mastectomy carried out a year earlier. “After my mastectomy, I had difficulty reclaiming my breast, my breasts. They were no longer symmetrical in size or shape. I only wanted to take it all out. 12 months day to the day after removing my left breast, I am finally rebuilding myself and turning a new page lighter than ever for my 37 years.” A speech that will speak to two many women affected by this cancer.
